4 ways to refresh your wellness this summer

It’s true: We’re nearing halfway through Summer, and school buses will soon be roaming our streets. (Parents might be relieved about that last part.)

While we can do without the intolerable heat that often comes with our warmer months, feeling the sun on our faces never felt this good, particularly after too much time indoors last year.

Speaking of recharging our batteries, if you haven’t carved out some time to do a check-in on your personal and mental health, there’s no time like the present. We’ve made it easy by pulling together several (mostly free) ways you can kickstart your own wellness refresh ASAP.

Read Aetna’s FREE wellness content. Whether Aetna is your healthcare provider or not, their free content for improving your physical and mental well-being is a wonderful resource.

Offering tips on exercises for a healthy heart to feeling good through gratitude and managing workplace stress, there’s something here for whatever’s important to you. Check it out.

Use our Employee Assistance Program. No doubt that things has been unnecessarily hard, and we may not all feel confident about processing current challenges and stressors.

Of the benefits available to you, the Employee Assistance Program through LifeCare® is one of our most valuable. Use up to three, FREE, confidential sessions with a licensed counselor to discuss life changes, work-life balance, anxiety or anything where talking to someone will help. Session are offered virtually and in person.

Call 866-574-7256 and mention you’re with ADP TotalSource®. You can also log into MyTotalSource.com.

Schedule a telehealth check-up. You can still keep your physical health in check even if you prefer some distance between yourself and others.

Telehealth is the hot health trend among patients who aren’t ready to see their doctors in the office. We shared many of the benefits around telehealth last October—and how easy it is to schedule a visit with doctors.

Finding time for you. How often do you find time for me, myself and I? While carving out some well-deserved Me Time can be neglected when life gets busy, make the effort and find a few small moments or one larger one. It’ll do wonders for your whole health.

The best part is you get to decide how to spend it. Reward yourself for something you accomplished, big or small. Hit the road on a morning run or workout. Spend time with family and friends. Whatever you do, make sure it’s all about you. Your self will thank you.
